The Craftsmanship

• Shade-Grown Integrity: Sourced from the prestigious coffee belts of the Western Ghats, these beans are grown under the protection of a natural forest canopy. This traditional agroforestry environment allows the beans to mature slowly, resulting in a higher-density bean that stands up exceptionally well to the heat of the roasting drum.

• The Wet-Process Mastery: The craft of our Robusta AB lies in the wet-processing. Immediately after harvest, the cherries are pulped, fermented, and washed with pristine spring water. This removes the mucilage and ensures the final green bean is free from the fermentation taints or "off-flavours" often found in commercial dry-processed Robustas.

• Hand-Sorting Excellence: After mechanical screening to ensure the AB size profile, the beans undergo meticulous manual hand-sorting. Our skilled artisans remove any defective beans, ensuring that, despite being a mid-sized grade, the quality and cleanliness of the lot meet the high standards required for international export.
