The Sage Way Global Exim: Mastering Time in the Spice Trade. Most exporters start with the product and learn logistics later; we did the opposite. Built on a 13-year family legacy of perishable exports (via Velan Fresh Farm), we bring "Zero-Delay Discipline" to the global trade of coffee and spices. Having mastered the high-pressure environment of air-shipping fresh produce to Singapore, we treat every shipment of dry commodities with the same urgency and precision. Sourcing directly from the estates of Chikkamagaluru and Idukki, we ensure that the potency of the Western Ghats reaches our global partners without the quality drops caused by transit delays.

Overview

Our Arabica Plantation C is the final exportable grade of the washed Arabica sequence, consisting of smaller, high-density beans. Retained on a 5.50 mm (Screen 14), this grade is a tactical choice for international roasters and large-scale manufacturers. Despite its smaller physical profile, the "C" grade often carries a more concentrated flavour profile, making it a powerful and cost-effective component for commercial premium blends that require a distinct Arabica character.

Product Description

Sensory Profile

  • Aroma: Toasty and nutty with a clean, straightforward fragrance.

  • Acidity: Muted and soft, providing a gentle brightness without being overpowering.

  • Body: Medium, offering a smooth and reliable texture that blends seamlessly with other origins.

  • Tasting Notes: Predominantly nutty with hints of roasted grain and a subtle cocoa bitterness. It provides a solid, dependable base for blends, ensuring a consistent cup quality that stands up well to medium and dark roasts.

The Craftsmanship

  • Resourceful Harvesting: These beans are the smaller jewels of the harvest, separated during the meticulous mechanical sifting process at our curing works. They share the same high-altitude pedigree as our AA and A grades, benefiting from the identical shade-grown conditions of the Western Ghats.

  • Standardised Processing: Every bean undergoes the full wet-processing method—pulping, fermenting, and washing. This ensures that even at the "C" grade level, the coffee remains free from the "earthy" or "musty" taints often found in lower-quality unwashed coffees.

  • Manual Quality Control: To ensure export compliance and roaster satisfaction, our Arabica C is subject to hand-sorting. This ensures that while the beans are smaller, they remain uniform and free of significant defects, protecting the integrity of your final roast.
