Standard Penetrometer for Paraffin Wax (ASTM D1321) is designed to measure the needle penetration depth, hardness and consistency of petroleum waxes and paraffin wax samples under specified temperature and test conditions. Suitable for petroleum, wax processing, candle, packaging, coating and industrial quality-control laboratories.


Available in Standard and Digital Timer configurations, the EIE-PTGT-146AT Series features a precision penetration mechanism, standard wax penetration needle and 100 g total moving weight assembly for accurate and repeatable penetration testing.


Available Models:

  • EIE-PTGT-146AT – Standard Penetrometer for Paraffin Wax as per ASTM D1321 / IP 376, with precision vertical adjustment, standard penetration needle and manual penetration timing.
  • EIE-PTGT-146AT – Digital Timer Penetrometer for Paraffin Wax with integrated digital timer and automatic release mechanism, providing controlled penetration timing of 5 seconds ± 0.1 second.
