Grease Roll Stability Test Apparatus (ASTM D1831) is designed to evaluate changes in the consistency and mechanical stability of lubricating greases when subjected to mechanical shear under controlled rolling conditions, as per ASTM D1831. Suitable for grease manufacturers, lubricant testing laboratories, automotive R&D centres and petroleum quality-control laboratories.


Available in 2-Cylinder and 4-Cylinder configurations, the EIE-PTGT-137 Series features constant-speed motor operation, temperature-controlled testing and robust SS-304 roll cylinders for reliable and repeatable grease stability testing.

  • EIE-PTGT-137C02 – 2-Cylinder Grease Roll Stability Test Apparatus designed for testing 2 grease samples simultaneously under controlled rolling conditions.
  • EIE-PTGT-137C04 – 4-Cylinder Grease Roll Stability Test Apparatus designed for testing up to 4 grease samples simultaneously, ideal for higher laboratory testing workloads.
  • EIE-PTGT-137C.A1 – Stainless Steel Knurling Bush, specifically engineered as an accessory/spare for the Grease Roll Stability Test Apparatus.
