The Rapid Moisture Meter is a portable field-testing apparatus for quick determination of moisture content in soil, sand, aggregates and fine materials using the calcium carbide pressure method. Designed for on-site testing as per IS 2720 (Part 2) and ASTM D4944, it provides direct moisture readings without laboratory drying.


Available Models

  • TM-145-25 / EIE-ST-09RMM25 – Standard: 0–25% moisture range with direct-reading pressure gauge for 6 g samples.
  • EIE-ST-09RMM50 – Standard: 0–50% moisture range for wet and cohesive soils.
  • EIE-ST-09RMMD25 / EIE-ST-09RMMD50 – Deluxe: Rugged kit with pressure vessel, mechanical balance, steel balls, accessories and carrying case.
  • EIE-ST-09RMM25EW – Digital Balance Model: 0–25% range with battery-operated electronic weighing balance for convenient sample preparation.
