Concrete Abrasion Resistance Testing Apparatus is designed for evaluating the resistance of concrete, concrete overlays and other cementitious surfaces to abrasion and surface wear caused by hydraulic action, rotating cutters, grinding wheels and abrasive particles. Suitable for testing applications involving dams, spillways, canals, bridge structures, highways, airport runways, industrial floors, pavements and other heavy-duty concrete surfaces.


Available in underwater abrasion, rotating cutter, revolving disk and sandblasting testing methods, complying with relevant ASTM C1138, ASTM C944, ASTM C779 Procedure A, IS 9284 and ASTM C418 standards.


Available Models:
• CA-1311 – Underwater Method, compliant with ASTM C1138; motorized agitation at 1200 ± 100 RPM with standard steel abrasive ball charge
• ASTM C944 Apparatus – Rotating Cutter Method for evaluating surface wear resistance of concrete floors, pavements and overlays
• ASTM C779 Procedure A / IS 9284 Apparatus – Revolving Disk Method for determining abrasion resistance using rotating disks/grinding wheels and abrasive grit
• ASTM C418 Apparatus – Sandblasting Method for evaluating concrete surface abrasion through high-velocity air and standard silica sand
