Sand Absorption Cone and Tamper Set is designed for determining the saturated surface-dry (SSD) condition, specific gravity and absorption characteristics of fine aggregates. Suitable for civil engineering, soil testing, concrete, aggregate and construction quality control laboratories.


Available in ASTM C128 / AASHTO T84 and IS 2386 (Part III) compliant configurations, with material options including brass/bronze, stainless steel and plated or powder-coated mild steel.


Available Models:

• Standard ASTM C128 / AASHTO T84 Model – Conical mould with 40 mm top diameter, 90 mm base diameter, 75 mm height and 340 g tamper with 25 mm tamping face

• IS 2386 (Part III) Model – Sand absorption cone and tamper assembly designed for Indian Standard fine aggregate testing

• Brass / Bronze Model – Heavy-duty corrosion-resistant construction for regular laboratory use

• Stainless Steel / Plated Steel Model – Durable construction with corrosion-resistant finish for laboratory and field testing
