Rust Prevention Test Apparatus is designed to evaluate the rust-inhibiting and corrosion-prevention characteristics of mineral oils, synthetic fluids, turbine oils and lubricating greases when exposed to water or corrosive environments. Suitable for petroleum, lubricant, grease, power generation and industrial quality-control laboratories.

Available in configurations for petroleum and lubricating grease testing, the EIE Rust Prevention Test Apparatus Series supports multiple ASTM test methods with precise temperature control, controlled stirring and corrosion-resistant SS-304 construction for reliable and repeatable testing.

Available Models:

EIE-PTLT-113 – Rust Prevention Test Apparatus for ASTM D665, ASTM D5534 and ASTM D3603, designed to evaluate rust-preventing characteristics of inhibited mineral oils and synthetic fluids in the presence of distilled water, synthetic sea water and horizontal specimen immersion.
EIE-PTGT-140 – Rust Prevention Test Apparatus for ASTM D1743, specifically designed to evaluate the rust-preventative properties of lubricating greases using tapered roller bearings exposed to corrosive environments.
Rust Prevention Test Apparatus Without Accessories – Base apparatus configuration supplied without standard glassware, stirrers or test specimens, allowing customized laboratory configuration.
