Suspension Magnets are powerful magnetic separators designed to hang over conveyor belts and extract unwanted iron particles from material flow. These magnets are effective in capturing ferrous objects such as bolts, nuts, metal chips, and other tramp iron that may cause damage to downstream equipment.
Application & Usage
Recommended for applications where iron contamination is minimal to moderate. Ideal for cement plants, mining operations, recycling units, and bulk material processing industries. The standard working distance between the magnet and conveyor belt is typically between 250mm to 350mm, ensuring effective magnetic reach without physical contact.
Performance Considerations
If the contamination level is high, frequent cleaning will be required as accumulation can shunt the magnetic field and reduce effectiveness. For such cases, self-cleaning variants are also available on request to minimize downtime.
Design & Mounting
The unit is suspended using chains or brackets above the conveyor, making installation simple and adaptable to various setups. The magnet housing is built for industrial use, ensuring longevity and durability in demanding environments.
