Product details

Industrial Applications & Compliance Use Cases

Project developers, EPC contractors and procurement teams use PV module testing to verify power output, durability and warranty-aligned performance. The service supports selection decisions for large-scale deployments and mitigates the risk of early degradation or mismatch-related losses.

Testing informs procurement specifications and helps define acceptance criteria during site handover.

Methodology & Instrumentation

Electrical performance is measured with class-A solar simulators and IV tracers to produce STC power and IV curves. Environmental cycling uses temperature-humidity chambers for damp heat and thermal cycling tests. Instruments include solar simulators, environmental chambers and electroluminescence imaging equipment for cell-level fault detection.

Data capture includes time-stamped IV curves, insulation resistance checks and spectral response where required. Measurement records include calibration traceability and test setup documentation.

Documentation & Traceability

Accreditation: Methodology and traceability are recorded; accreditation statements provided when confirmed in engagement documents.
Standards/Methods Covered: Module performance and environmental test protocols relevant to PV module qualification.
Reporting: Performance certificate, degradation analysis, raw IV data and test setup notes.
Documents Provided: Test Report, IV Data Files, Calibration Traceability Statement, Defect Imaging Outputs.

Decision-Guide

Confirm the lab can handle your module dimensions and provide calibrated solar-simulator outputs. Check whether combined electrical and environmental packages are available to shorten project timelines. A common buyer pain point is inconsistent measurement conditions; request the test setup and calibration statements to validate comparability.

Request a Testing Quote

Share module specifications, sample count and required turnaround to receive a test scope and schedule confirmation.

Frequently Asked Questions

How many modules are required for testing? Typically 1-3 representative modules for electrical checks; environmental or degradation sequences may require additional samples.
How is pricing determined? Pricing depends on module size, test scope and any long-term degradation sequences; bundled packages are available for project procurement.
Which outputs are provided? Performance certificates, IV data sets, degradation analysis and calibrated measurement statements.
What is the expected turnaround? Standard electrical and environmental checks typically complete in 7-14 working days; long-term tests take longer depending on protocol.
