Gayatri Fertiplants

Rotary Screen

An inclined rotating drum screen (trommel) for classifying fertilizer granules and screening bulk solids.

Overview

Granules tumble, and size decides where they go. The Rotary Screen from Gayatri Fertiplants grades material inside an inclined, rotating cylindrical drum, also called a trommel.

Smaller particles pass through the drum’s apertures, while larger ones carry on along the drum. It is used for fertilizer granule classification and general bulk-solid screening.

How It Works

1

Material enters the upper end of the inclined drum.

2

Drum rotation tumbles the material along its length.

3

Particles smaller than the apertures pass through.

4

Larger particles continue to the drum’s outlet end.

Key Benefits

Trommel design

Rotating cylindrical drum screen for steady classification.

Inclined flow

Drum incline carries material along as it screens.

Size separation

Separates by size through screen apertures.

Versatile use

Handles fertilizer granules and general bulk solids.

Frequently asked by buyers
What is a rotary screen used for?

It is used to separate bulk material by size using an inclined cylindrical drum that rotates on its axis.

Is this the same as a trommel screen?

Yes. Rotary screen, rotary drum screen, and trommel screen are different names for the same type of machine.

How does this screen separate material?

Material tumbles inside the rotating inclined drum, and undersized particles pass through the screening surface while oversize exits at the discharge end.

Is this a vibrating screen?

No. This machine separates material by rotation of the drum rather than by vibration.

What industry is this rotary screen suited for?

It is listed in the fertilizer screening range and is suitable for fertilizer and related bulk material screening applications.

What information is needed for a quotation?
