These pipes are made from nickel-copper alloy. It contains Nickel in high proportion and it contains a high percentage of copper as well. The combination of potent mechanical properties and chemical balance makes it resistant to seawater and steam at high temperatures. This is why industrial applications where high temperatures and voltage are a part of the process use these pipes. And similar properties prevail in salt and caustic solutions as well. The presence of nickel in these pipes determines many physical characteristics. Some of the most prominent are excellent corrosion resistance under the presence of all kind water and acids, good welding ability and high level of mechanical and tensile strength. This is suitable for all kinds of welding applications. But the tungsten arc welding is most commonly used.
