Hastelloy C22/C276 that is used in the manufacture of sheets and plates is an austenitic nickel-chromium-molybdenum-tungsten alloy which is versatile and is resistant to crevice corrosion, stress corrosion cracking, resistant to pitting, etc. Hastelloy has high chromium content that offers fantastic resistance to oxidation, whereas the molybdenum present in it provides good resistance to reduction. Hastelloy like other nickel alloys has properties like amazing weldability that can be easily fabricated into various industrial components. This alloy can be incorporated into different forms ranging from plates, strips, sheets, bars, pipes, tubes, billets, covered electrodes, etc. This material provides excellent resistance to localized corrosion, metallurgic stability, does not sensitize during heating or welding.
