China is the largest Capsicum producing country in the world followed by Mexico, Turkey, Indonesia, and the United States of America. Capsicums are available throughout the year. Green, Red, and Yellow are the main Capsicum varieties in India. Capsicums can be used to treat pain associated with osteoarthritis, shingles, rheumatoid arthritis, post-herpetic neuralgia, trigeminal neuralgia, diabetic neuropathy, fibromyalgia, and back pain. Others have used capsicum for relief of muscle spasms and even as a gargle for laryngitis.
