Royal Chowkidars

Every grand entrance deserves its guardians. In the courts of Rajasthan, the Chowkidar stood watch at the gate — turbaned, dignified, unwavering. This pair of Royal Chowkidar figurines brings that same sense of ceremony and presence to your home. About the Craft Crafted in the rich visual tradition of Rajasthani royal court art, these paired figurines depict royal guards in full ceremonial regalia — elaborate turbans, traditional weapons, the upright posture of duty and pride. Made from Kadamb wood by artisan families in Rajasthan, each figure is hand-carved and hand-painted with the bold colour palette of Mewar miniature art. Designed to flank an entrance, a mantle, or a display shelf — mirror-opposite in posture, unified in purpose. Vastu Tip Pairs of guardian figurines are traditionally placed on either side of an entrance or on the main console of a living room. In Vastu, the north and east walls near entrances are ideal for pieces that represent protection and welcome. Guardian figures should ideally face toward the entrance to symbolise watchfulness over what enters the space.
