Nocturne Owls

The owl, Ullu, holds a paradoxical place in Indian culture. It is the vehicle (vahana) of Goddess Lakshmi, associated with wisdom, wealth, and the perception to see what others cannot. The Nocturne Owls from Premloom Envision honour this symbolism in handcrafted wood. Each owl is carved with characteristic round-eyed watchfulness and finished in the folk-art tradition of Rajasthan, with hand-painted detailing that gives each piece character and warmth. Owls placed at home are considered auspicious in many Indian households, particularly on Diwali night when Lakshmi is believed to visit homes that have her vahana waiting. As home décor, these owls bring personality and a touch of whimsy to bookshelves, study desks, or windowsills. An unusual and thoughtful gifting choice, particularly for someone who loves the idea of an omen turned ornament. Vastu TipThe owl is the vahana of Goddess Lakshmi and represents wisdom and wealth. Placing an owl figurine in the north or northeast of your home or office invites Lakshmi's blessings. Avoid placing owl figurines in the south direction. Our animal figurines are made from seasoned Kadamb or Babla wood, hand-carved and hand-painted by artisan families in Rajasthan. Check the specific listing for material details. Will there be variations from the photo? Yes. Each piece is handcrafted individually, so subtle variations in grain, colour, or brushwork are normal. These are the marks of the artisan's hand, not defects. How do I care for a wooden figurine? Wipe with a dry cloth. Avoid prolonged moisture exposure. Keep out of direct sunlight to preserve colour. Can I place it outdoors? Wooden figurines are for indoor use only. Outdoor exposure will damage the wood and paint over time. Is it gift-ready? Yes. Comes in Premloom Envision packaging.
