How APFC Panels Work

The panel’s controller constantly measures the system’s power factor. If it detects a lagging (inductive) power factor, it automatically energizes the required number of capacitor steps to bring the power factor close to unity (1.0). As the load changes, the controller adjusts accordingly, ensuring optimal correction at all times.
