Developing Countries Lead in Entrepreneurial Population Index
A recent research by UK based business networking group, Approved Index, on the amount of entrepreneurs in various countries reveals some interesting findings. The countries with the maximum percentage of entrepreneurs are actually the developing economies where unemployment is high, and individuals turn to entrepreneurship in a a bid to seek better opportunities. A developed nation like the United States ranks 41 in terms of the percentage of entrepreneurial population and Britain ranks 37. Interestingly, developing nations like Uganda, Angola, Vietnam & Cameroon rank high on this index which just goes to show that the entrepreneurial spirit thrives in developing countries.
