The lanthanum tungsten electrode is lanthanum oxide in tungsten, providing better welding performance. It is used for DC welding of stainless steels, nickel alloys, aluminum and many other metals. Lanthanum tungsten electrodes are most used to replace thorium-tungsten electrodes, and it is easier to create an electric arc with a longer life.
