Product Description

The Rotary Trochoidal Gear Pump, part of Delta PD Pumps' Series DRT/DRTBP, operates on the principle of gear within gear but without a crescent. The inner rotor is located off-center, and both rotors rotate. The geometry of the two rotors partitions the volume between them into dynamically changing volumes. During the rotation cycle, each volume first increases, creating a vacuum that induces suction, and then decreases, leading to compression. The flow of liquid is axial through the elements. The design includes built-in speed reduction, as the pinion rotates at prime mover speed while the outer gear rotates at a lower speed. This compact and cost-effective design reduces overall cost and space requirements. The timing gear reduces noise levels and enhances the working life of the pump. Applications include transfer and barrel unloading, pressure lubrication and cooling of bearings and gearboxes, pumping, heating, cooling, and filtering units, and pre-lubrication of machinery components before starting.
