Product Description

Brass PG & MM IP68 glands are used in Outdoor & Indoor applications and in all breaded unarmored cable fittings. Cable glands are used to insert a cable into a cabinet. At the same time, a high degree of protection of the cabinet will be maintained in addition to a strain relief. The functions of a cable gland can be grounding, connection, insulation, sealing, relief, or a combination. Fundamentals Metric and PG Cable gland ensures continuous contact without gaps. The cap and the insert are simply pushed onto the lead. The exposed cable shield is folded around the insert, and the gland's body is then pushed on. Screw fitting of the cap ensures that cable shield is pressed over a large surface between the torsion – protected insert and the glands body. The Result is a very good metal contact area of the cable shield via the gland body to the housing, protected from external environmental influences.
