Topside Reading Verification

Multigauge 3100 is a Surface Display Unit for use with the Multigauge 3000 underwater thickness tester. It duplicates diver readings so a class surveyor or supervisor can verify measurements from the surface, including when underwater visibility is zero.

Bi-Directional Control

Bi-directional communication allows settings in the underwater Multigauge 3000 to be changed from the surface without breaking O-ring seals. The connected underwater tester can also be calibrated remotely through the surface unit during diver operations.

Display and Battery Information

A multi-character LCD with white backlight presents readings and user information. The unit displays remaining battery life for both itself and the connected Multigauge 3000, supporting topside monitoring of the measurement system.

Power and Umbilical

The surface unit uses three disposable AA alkaline batteries or rechargeable NiMH or NiCd cells. Stated alkaline battery life reaches 50 hours. It is normally supplied with a 100 m umbilical reel, with other lengths available.
