Overview

MANUFACTURED SAND Manufactured sand (M-Sand) is a substitute of river sand for concrete construction . Manufactured sand is produced from hard granite stone by crushing. The crushed sand is of cubical shape with grounded edges, washed and graded to as a construction material. The size of manufactured sand (M-Sand) is less than 4.75mm. Due to fast growing construction industry and deficiency of river sand, the demand for M-sand has increased tremendously. M-Sand is a perfect alternative due to global scarcity of natural sand. M-Sand has a higher compressive and flexural strength. The physical properties of M-Sand are balanced, strong and can withstand harsh climatic conditions.

Product Description

There are lesser impurities in crushed sand compared to river sand. The bulk density is 1.75 gm per cubic cm. The specific gravity of manufactured sand is 2.5 to 2.9, depending on the parent rock. Permissible limit of fines below 75 microns is up to 15%.
