Overview

LATEX BOND Latex is a stable dispersion (emulsion) of polymer micro particles in an aqueous medium. It is found in nature, but synthetic latexes can be made by polymerizing a monomer such as styrene that has been emulsified with surfactants. Rubber-based latex adhesive products are made from natural or synthetic elastomers which have been tackified with the inclusion of various additives and resins. Rubber adhesives are cost-effective and have excellent tack and shear properties. Latex adhesives are safe to use and do not cause curling up.
