Overview

Pichwai is a traditional style of painting that originated in Nathdwara, Rajasthan, and is closely associated with the worship of Lord Krishna, especially in his form as Shrinathji. The word Pichwai means "backdrop," as these paintings were originally created as ornate cloth hangings placed behind the idol in temples. Rich in symbolism and detail, Pichwai paintings often depict episodes from Krishna’s life, such as the Ras Leela, Govardhan Leela, or scenes of him with cows, lotuses, and gopis. Here too the cover showcases the divine picture of the Lord playing the flute surrounded by the cows in the forest and to further add to the appeal of this diary, it contains papers which are recycled from Cotton, thus making this diary 100% Environment-friendly. No trees had to be cut for the paper used in making these diaries
