Product Description

The Internal Gear Pump, part of Delta PD Pumps' Series DIG, employs the proven internal gearing principle for efficient fluid transfer. The main gear is keyed to the drive shaft and rotates concentrically within the pump casing. An idler gear, located on an eccentric pin on the front cover, rotates freely and meshes with the main gear. A crescent-shaped partition on the front cover maintains a small but positive clearance, ensuring perfect sealing between parts. As the gears come out of mesh, a partial vacuum is created, drawing fluid into the pump casing and filling the voids between the teeth. Both gears rotate in the same direction, gently transferring the fluid to the delivery port. This action results in smooth, steady flow with low pulsation, noise, and vibration. The single-shaft design, supported on outboard bearings, enables the pump to handle products with poor lubricating value, unlike external gear pumps. The external bearing construction allows easy access to pump components without disturbing drive parts or bearings.
