Adhatoda vasica was shown to have a good antitussive activity & as active as codeine on coughing. Journal of Ethnopharmacology; 1999 Nov 30; 67(3):361-365.


Ocimum sanctum inhibits constriction of the bronchial airway passages through protection of mast cell membrane by preventing granulation and decreased histamine release. Asp Aller Appl Immunol 1983; 16:36-41.


Glycyrrhiza glabra offers protection against influenza virus through stimulation of IFN-gamma production by T cells.
