Overview

Guar contains protein and natural polymer and it is grown in semi-arid climates. The protein with the husk is utilized as animal feed and the natural polymer is used as a thickener in various products. Guar gum powder is a food-thickening agent extracted from the seeds of the guar plant. It works as a strong binder, emulsifier, thickener, stabilizer, and plasticizer. Guar gums work excellently as thickeners as compared to other hydrocolloids. Guar Gum is made from guar seeds, which is also known as Cyamopsis Tetragonoloba.  It is mainly utilized in the food industry to enhance the texture, thickness, and solidity of a variety of food items. It is also used in paper, pharmaceuticals, explosives, oil well drilling, cosmetics, and textile industries.. In addition to that, guar gum is inexpensive as compared with other thickeners and stabilizers.
