Mechanism of Action

Ofloxacin inhibits bacterial DNA gyrase and topoisomerase IV, leading to the prevention of DNA replication and bacterial death.

Ornidazole enters anaerobic cells and protozoa, where it undergoes reduction to active metabolites that disrupt DNA synthesis, causing cell death.

This combination ensures a broad-spectrum action covering both aerobic and anaerobic bacteria as well as protozoa, reducing the need for multiple drugs.
