Product Description

The External Gear Pump, part of Delta PD Pumps' Series DG, is designed for efficient fluid transfer in various industrial applications. It utilizes two identical gears rotating against each other—one gear is driven by a motor, which in turn drives the other gear. Each gear is supported by a shaft with bearings on both sides. As the gears come out of mesh, they create an expanding volume on the inlet side of the pump, drawing liquid into the cavity and trapping it between the gear teeth. The liquid travels around the interior of the casing in the pockets between the teeth and the casing, without passing between the gears. Finally, the meshing of the gears forces the liquid through the outlet port under pressure. This design ensures smooth and efficient operation, making the pump suitable for applications such as transfer of liquids and booster applications.
