CG Electrode Gel is a specially designed conductive gel used during an electrocardiogram (ECG or EKG) procedure. This gel is applied to the electrodes that are placed on the skin to help enhance electrical conductivity between the skin and the electrodes.

Since human skin provides resistance to electrical signals, the gel reduces this resistance, ensuring that the tiny electrical signals produced by the heart are transmitted accurately to the ECG machine. This allows for clearer and more precise readings of the heart’s activity.

Without the ECG Electrode Gel, the quality of the ECG signals might be compromised, leading to less accurate results. It’s non-irritating, safe for use on the skin, and easy to clean off after the procedure.
