Decoration knockers

Handmade brass door knockers are more than just functional items; they are pieces of art that add a touch of elegance and grandeur to any entrance. These knockers often feature intricate designs and motifs, reflecting the craftsmanship and attention to detail of the artisans who create them. One popular design is the lion head knocker, symbolizing strength and courage, making a bold statement to visitors right at the doorstep. The warm, golden hue of brass adds a timeless quality, ensuring these knockers remain stylish and relevant across different decor trends.

The process of creating handmade brass door knockers involves a blend of traditional techniques and modern innovation. Artisans begin by sculpting a model, often in wax or clay, which is then used to create a mold. Molten brass is poured into the mold, capturing every fine detail of the design. Once the brass has cooled and solidified, the piece is meticulously polished and finished to enhance its luster and durability. This labor-intensive process not only highlights the skill of the craftsman but also ensures that each door knocker is a unique, one-of-a-kind piece. Beyond their aesthetic appeal, brass door knockers are also valued for their durability and resistance to the elements.

Brass, an alloy of copper and zinc, has natural anti-corrosive properties, making it an ideal material for outdoor use. Over time, brass develops a patina, a greenish layer that adds to its character and charm, further enhancing its antique look. Whether used in historic buildings or modern homes, handmade brass door knockers serve as both a decorative and practical addition, embodying a blend of tradition, art, and utility. Designed by ARTASHI, this piece adds visual appeal while being highly functional.
