What are the specifications of this product?

Overview

This tubes contains sodium citrate, that are used for coagulation studies. Clotted blood is obtained in blood collection tubes that contain a silicon coating or a serum separator. The blood collected into these tubes is allowed to clot for 15 to 30 minutes prior to centrifugation. blood collecting tubes which are evacuated to create a vacuum are called vacuum tubes. The vacuumed tube ensures that a predetermined quantity of blood is drawn. Non-vacuum tubes are used for drawing a predetermined volume of liquid in a sterile glass or plastic test tube covered with a rubber stopper that helps to create a vacuum seal inside the tube as the name suggest non-vacuum .  For more details plz contact:- *****

Frequently asked by buyers

Common questions B2B buyers ask before sourcing BLOOD COOLECTION TUBES. Answers compiled from verified sellers' commercial terms and platform data.

Q: Why is it important to allow blood samples to clot for 15-30 minutes before centrifugation?
A: Allowing the blood to clot ensures that serum is separated effectively, providing cleaner samples which is essential for accurate test results.
Q: What is the advantage of using vacuum blood collection tubes?
A: Vacuum tubes provide a predetermined volume of blood with minimal effort, reducing contamination risks and ensuring consistency in sample size.
Q: Can these tubes be used for all types of blood tests?
A: Each type of blood collection tube contains specific anticoagulants or additives for different tests. It's essential to choose the right tube based on the test requirements.
Q: What should I do if a blood sample is collected in the wrong type of tube?
A: If the sample is collected in the wrong tube, it may lead to inaccurate test results. Consult with the laboratory for guidance on whether the sample can be salvaged or needs to be repeated.
Q: Are there any safety concerns when using blood collection tubes?
A: It's crucial to handle blood collection tubes carefully to avoid contamination. Ensure proper disposal of used tubes in biomedical waste containers to maintain safety.
