Overview

White microcrystalline powder, natural, biologically safe, do not cause any environmental pollution. It is non-toxic & safe for human use. Biocrystalline cellulose is a unique product derived from cotton linter by designing a blend of process to achieve highest quality and purity and complies all the quality parameters required for its use in defense for the manufacture of propellant grade and explosive grade nitrocellulose. The raw material cotton linter fibers are shorter fiber and it has thicker secondary wall of cellulose, which is converted into cellulose of highest purity by a special process designed by us.

Product Description

Why should Biocrystalline cellulose be preferred over cotton linter pulp and cellulose

obtained from all other sources i.e. wood cellulose

1. Biocrystalline cellulose contains highest percentage of cellulose (above 99%) than any

other source.

2. Unlike black particles present in wood cellulose; Biocrystalline cellulose is exclusively

free from black particles.

3. Its purity is more than cotton linter pulp and other source of cellulose.

4. It forms smokeless product when used ,which is prime requirement in manufacturing

nitrocellulose for various purpose in defense.

5. It aids into high explosive value due to its purest form.

6. As a product is of highest purity it forms nitrocellulose of high grade quality.

7. The blend of process which is used to produce the cellulose is very much effective to

convert alpha cellulose into cellulose with the purity above 99.6% . It means it is superior

over alpha cellulose in all aspects and specifications.

8. Alpha cellulose is precursor and biocrystalline cellulose prepared by us is final

product which is superior in all quality aspects when compared with alpha cellulose and

other existing components used.

9. It is biodegradable, inert , environmentally safe, non hazardous to human life and

prepared from the material of non wood origin. ( Wood cellulose contributes to

deforestation and increases ecological imbalance where wood is used as raw material).

10. Hence, Biocrystalline cellulose is certainly a better replacement for cotton linter

pulp/wood pulp/wood cellulose being currently used in defense for the manufacture

of nitrocellulose.

Uses :

• In textile, it is used to intensify fiber surface energy and increases wicking

properties (act to absorb or draw off liquid by capillary action) increases rate of

water absorption. If coated on natural or synthetic fabric, it improves durability of

fabric.

• In food, medicine & cosmetics as excipient.

• In paint industry, it is used to disperse the pigment, prevent settling, surface texture from

gloss to matt, preservative to lengthen the longevity, adjust the surface tension to improve

the flow of application, to increase or decrease the overall time to dry & cure.

Biocrystalline cellulose due to its purity & brightness help in improving hue, value &

color brightness.

• In defence for manufacturing smokeless nitrocellulose, propellant in firearm, rocket fuel,

explosive in quarrying, mining & detonators.

• In Pharmaceuticals used as excipient.

• In diet as fiber supplement.

• In paper industries for paper board, cellophane and paper products

• Rayon production.

• As a Preservative / anti-clumping agent in cheese, emulsifier, stabilizer, dispersing agent,

thickener, gelling agent, anti-cake agent,

• In energy drinks, ice cream, industrial sugar, bio-fuel production.

• In Moisture-proof coating, photographic film, welding industry, plastic industry.

Advantages:

• It has superiority over all other comparative products or substances. The amount of

material required for different use will be very less or minimum as compared to other

cellulose.

• Unlike black particles present in wood cellulose; Biocrystalline cellulose is exclusively

free from black particles

• Snow white color with highest quality and purity.

• Highest content of cellulose.

• It has quality at its best and is multifunctional ingredient as per the user’s requirement.
