Overview

PTFE Cables have outstanding mechanical & electrical properties. They are heat resistant and have its application for temperature range from -65 °C to 260 °C.In most adverse industrial conditions, where chemical fumes & other liquids make all other types of cables are vulnerable, PTFE polymer becomes an excellent solution as it is chemically inert to most of industrial chemicals. Its outstanding di electric properties even at high elevated temperatures make it suitable for harsh industrial applications. The PTFE equipment wire are as per US Military MIL – W – 16878D and Indian defense specifications JSS 51034.92. Buyer questions

Frequently asked by buyers

Common questions B2B buyers ask before sourcing ELTEC PTFE Multicore Shielded Cables. Answers compiled from verified sellers' commercial terms and platform data.

Q: What temperature range can these PTFE multicore shielded cables handle?
A: They are designed for operation from -65 c to 260 c, making them suitable for high-heat and low-temperature industrial environments.
Q: Are these cables resistant to industrial chemicals?
A: Yes. The PTFE polymer is chemically inert to most industrial chemicals, so it performs well in areas exposed to fumes, liquids, oils, and solvents.
Q: Which standards do these cables comply with?
A: They are specified as per US Military MIL-W-16878D and Indian defense specification JSS 51034.92.
Q: What working voltage grades are available for this cable?
A: The listed working voltage grades are ET (250 V), E (600 V), and EE (1000 V).
Q: What are the spark test and dielectric test values?
A: For ET, the spark test is 2500 V ACrms and dielectric testing is 1500 V ACrms; for E, 3400 V ACrms spark and 2000 V ACrms dielectric; for EE, 5000 V ACrms spark and 3000 V ACrms dielectric.
Q: What is the minimum order quantity?
A: The minimum order quantity is 1 metre.
Q: Are these cables suitable for defense or mission-critical applications?
A: Yes. Their compliance with MIL-W-16878D and JSS 51034.92, along with high temperature and chemical resistance, makes them suitable for defense and harsh industrial applications.
